Cartagena has celebrated an unforgettable weekend of Las Fallas de Valencia, with spectacular fireworks displays and cultural events transforming the city into a vibrant centre of festivities.
The mascletà launched at Cuesta del Batel was one of the most powerful in history, reaching 350 kilograms of gunpowder, nearly three times the usual amount at Valencia's Plaza del Ayuntamiento. This event drew thousands of people to enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience.
The show, led by Pirotecnia Nadal-Martí, featured 75 salvos in homage to the victims of the DANA storm in Valencia, and was an act of solidarity with affected municipalities. At the end of the mascletà, more than 8,000 masclets exploded in the last 30 seconds, marking a spectacular finale for this event.
Valencians also took the opportunity to make an offering to the Virgen de los Desamparados at the Basilica of Charity, and a giant paella for over 3,000 people was prepared, adding to the grandeur of the festivity.
The programming for Las Fallas de Valencia in Cartagena continued with parades, dances, and a festive atmosphere that took over the city. This celebration, now one of the most significant outside Valencia, attracted both locals and tourists, strengthening the cultural and festive bond between the two cities.
