FC Cartagena Begins New Chapter with Javi Rey as Coach

FC Cartagena has set the date for the start of their 2025/26 season in Primera Federación. On Monday, July 21, players will undergo medical check-ups to officially start preseason under new coach Javi Rey.
The initial training sessions will take place at the Ciudad Deportiva José María Ferrer, located within the La Manga Club complex. The team aims to build a strong identity and clear style of play as part of the new project following relegation.
The schedule for friendly matches will be announced soon to complete preparations before the official competition begins. The season opener is slated for the weekend of August 30-31, with an away match against Antequera CF at the El Maulí stadium, testing the effectiveness of the new sporting direction right from the first game.
